Outside Sales Manager - (WI into Northern IL)
Full job description
We are seeking a driven, relationship-focused Outside Sales Representative to generate new business and grow existing accounts in the residential and commercial garage door market. This role is responsible for prospecting, estimating, presenting solutions, and closing sales for garage doors, openers, service contracts, and related products.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, customer-focused, and comfortable working both in the field and independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Generate new residential and commercial sales opportunities
- Develop relationships with builders, contractors, property managers, and homeowners
- Conduct site visits, measure openings, and prepare accurate quotes
- Present product options and recommend appropriate solutions
- Close sales and achieve monthly revenue goals
- Follow up on company-provided leads promptly
Account Management
- Maintain strong relationships with existing accounts
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Resolve customer concerns professionally
- Coordinate with installation and service teams for project execution
Administrative & Reporting
- Maintain CRM records and sales pipeline
- Submit accurate contracts and order documentation
- Track sales performance and report weekly activity
- Assist with forecasting and territory planning
Qualifications
- 3+ years outside sales experience (construction/home improvement preferred)
- Experience in garage doors, building materials, or related industry a plus
- Strong communication and closing skills
- Ability to read blueprints and take accurate field measurements (or willingness to learn)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Comfortable working independently and managing territory

- Ability to handle objections and price discussions confidently
Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year PLUS discretionary bonus
